SPEND YOUR SUMMER
AT THE ECONOMICS INSTITUTE

In the late Spring and Summer, hundreds of program participants gather from nearly 160 countries around the globe, to attend any of several special programs at the Economics Institute.

Improve Your English Language and Business Skills:

The Economics Institute in Boulder, Colorado, now in its 42nd year of continuous operation, is gearing up for their Spring and Summer sessions. The EI offers year-round programs in graduate school preparation for international students in business, economics, and finance, and students enjoy both the academic and extracurricular and recreational activities the Institute offers as part of their total immersion experience.

Along with the graduate preparation program, there is a highly successful PreMBA program specifically designed for students planning to enroll in MBA programs in the Fall.

In the Summer PreMBA program, students improve their language and business skills while using the case study method, now so popular in MBA programs. This gives students a distinct advantage when they begin their programs because they will have had actual real time classroom experience and feedback from instructors using the case study method. Students in PreMBA also participate in outdoor leadership and team building activities throughout the summer and are able to work with a personal coach on skills that need additional attention.

In addition to PreMBA, the EI's Center for World Banking and Finance will again host the world-renown Microfinance Training Program and the Monetary Policy and Bank Management Program. In these two programs, hundreds of international participants gather in Boulder to learn best practices in microfinance and bank management.

The EI Graduate School Preparation program, which runs year-round, affords students the opportunity to sharpen their English language skills while building their understanding of economics and business analysis. Depending on their proficiency levels, students are able to choose both language and content courses.

The EI offers a complete range of social activities for students, including events with Friendship Families, barbeques, picnics, sports, site visits, horseback riding, scenic mountain tours and much more. Students have much to choose from.

The EI also continues to offer two one-year joint degree programs with the University of Colorado: an Intensive Master of Arts in Economics and a Global MBA in Technology and Entrepreneurship.

Location:
The Economics Institute is located in beautiful safe Boulder, Colorado. Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder is an oasis for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. There is always easy access to hiking and cycling trails, and Boulder is just a short drive from Colorado's major ski areas. The EI is located adjacent to the campus of the University of Colorado and just a short drive from Denver, with social and cultural activities readily available.

Studying at the EI is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which will enrich you academically and culturally. Many of our 13,000 graduates have become economic and political leaders in their countries. Many graduates also send their children to study at the EI for a high quality educational experience and a safe culturally enriching lifestyle.
